Thousands have left New South Wales, in south-eastern Australia, as preparations for its closure are underway following a corona epidemic among the population in its capital, Sydney.
Australian health authorities said the state on Sunday recorded 30 new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, which led to queensland's ban on access to its territory for the greater Sydney region and the whole of New South Wales from the first hour of Monday.
The state of Victoria and South Australia has also prevented residents of Sydney's northern beaches from reaching it, as well as imposing a 14-day quarantine on those who have dissolved it.
In contrast, the state authorities declared the state free of the new coronavirus for the 52nd consecutive day, referring to a woman belonging to the crew of an aircraft that came from the Qatari capital Doha before Saturday, without passengers, and put itself in voluntary quarantine. After the tests, it was established that her colleagues who had left Australia to complete quarantine in their own countries were not infected.
