There are reports about the Korean manufacturer, Hyundai, intending to launch a pickup in the market, but this time this news talks about a pickup from Kia.
In fact, since Hyundai will take this step towards the pickup vehicle segment, it was expected that Kia would follow suit, especially as Kia is part of Hyundai.
Many rumors of a Kia pickup have previously spread, but new press reports have brought confirmed news this time.
Australian Cars Guide quoted official statements as saying that Damien Meredith, the chief employee of Kia Corporation in Australia, had stated that they had received the green light to start manufacturing the Kia pickup.
“What we asked for was a full-featured pickup vehicle with diesel and gasoline engines,” Meredith said. Meredith also made it clear that Kia's pickup would not be a luxury car, but rather a serious business pickup vehicle which would make it a competitor to cars like Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.
Up to this point, there is no confirmed news about the arrival of the Australian Kia pickup in our Arab region.
But knowing that the designers and engineers have already started making this vehicle was very interesting, especially since Meredith says that we will be seeing this pickup soon by 2022 or 2023.
