The Australian state of Victoria on Sunday eased the restrictions of Coved-19 after the outbreak in Australia recorded 37 days without new infections with the coronavirus.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said that as of midnight on Sunday, up to 100 people would be able to attend public gatherings such as weddings and 50 per cent of office staff would be able to return to work by January 11, up from 25 percent now.

"Today we can take some big steps, not as usual, but for a safe summer from Coved (but) we all have to stay alert and do our part," Andrews said at a press conference.

The use of muzzles would remain mandatory in doors, public transport and shared transport.
