Microsoft revealed the name of the new game console, Xbox Series X, and announced that it will launch under that new name, where it was formerly known as the project name Project Scarlett, in "Holiday 2020".

Microsoft added that the new name was announced during the annual Game Awards in Los Angeles. The company added that during one of the posts on the social networking platform Twitter, Phil Spencer, President of Xbox, introduced Xbox Series X as "the fastest and strongest console ever", claiming that it will form a new bar of performance and speed.
The company added that the new industrial design will help provide four times the processing power for Xbox One X in the quietest and most effective way, which is very important in providing a truly immersive gameplay.

The company revealed machine specifications earlier this year, including its dedicated AMD Zen 2 processor, capable of delivering 4K visuals at 60fps, with a possibility of 120fps and support for 8K displays.
She added that the device comes with several advantages, including a hard drive to allow faster loading times. According to Microsoft, it can stand vertically or horizontally. Xbox Series X is also set to provide backward compatibility with Xbox One and earlier Xbox devices.
On the other hand, no official release date has been announced after the Holiday 2020 announcement, which is the same period during which Sony was set to launch its rival PlayStation 5.
