The funeral ceremony of Sultan Qaboos bin Said this morning

Official television and the Omani News Agency announced on its Twitter account the death of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Sultan of Oman, early Saturday morning. ...

The television started broadcasting the Noble Qur’an, and the Sultanate declared mourning, and confirmed that the funeral ceremonies will be held today, Saturday.

The Diwan said in an official statement: "As the Diwan of the Royal Court declares mourning and disrupts the official work of the public and private sectors for a period of three days and flags at half-mast in the next forty days."

The Diwan of the Royal Court issued an obituary, whose text reads: “Oh, you, the reassuring soul. * Return to your Lord, contently, satisfied, and enter me into my worshipers.
 
 With the hearts of believers in God’s decree and his destiny and with great sorrow and great grief mixed with complete consent and absolute submission to the command of God mourns the office of the forgiven royal court - may God Almighty - His Majesty His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taymur Al-Muazzam, whom God chose next to him on Friday evening, the fourteenth of Jumada I for the year 1441 AH, corresponding to the tenth of January 2020.
 
After a lofty renaissance established during fifty years since he assumed the reins of power on the twenty-third of July 1970 AD, and after a wise and triumphant march full of giving that covered Oman from one extreme to the other, it affected the entire Arab, Islamic and international world and resulted in a balanced policy that the whole world stood for with respect and respect.
